Guest guest
Well I have just spoken with Dr Fielding's nurse and told her how I was feeling and what was going on. Her answer to why Dr F has stopped DS is because there is a greater risk of infection and a longer healing time. I told her the reason I want DS is because I have IBS and am on medication for anxiety associated with this problem, I have consistently shown low iron stores and the DS is not as drastic as BPD in draining those stores. I also stated that I have been waiting for this op for 12 months, he knew that I had my heart set on the DS and now he has changed things wihtout even consulting me, she agreed that that wasnt the way to go and not good enough, he is presently in Spain (teaching on the Gastic Band) and Kym (the nurse) is going to get a hold of him and discuss my case with him and see if he will consider doing the DS on me. Please all prayers are needed...I only have 5 days to go! Hugs Tracey
Guest guest
, I am praying and am going to keep praying til he says yes...and you are going to keep bugging him to say yes! When he figures he can't bulldoze you into capitulating to an inferior surgery, he will have no choice but to say yes!!! Guest guest
My thoughts are with you, Tracey! It's only morally correct for him to do the surgery you agreed on! I hope he does the right thing. Don't settle for anything less! Guest guest
Tracey, Sending positive vibes your way that everything works out! Now that the nurse understands your specific needs and knows you're educated on the DS, etc, then Dr Fielding will do the DS for you, even if he considers you the 'exception' to his new policy. *hugs* Anita > > > > Well I have just spoken with Dr Fielding's nurse and told her how I was feeling and what was going on.
