I've even considered going to Macura's meetings. I think the most important

considering an RNY would ever attend).

I think that post-op DS is post-op DS, no matter what one's surgeon is. I

don't think the other members of the group are really going to say anything.

:) I say COME, too! :) We'll have a great time together! The topic is

plastic surgery and it sounds like a really, really good one!

Cool can someone post the information on wed. I will meet you all down there at

5:30 gosh I dont know what I am going to wear....You are all going to look so

good....hmmm I guess this means I will need to go shopping.....This is going to

be so much fun....I can hardly wait! I cant wait to meet your mom....Your mom

sounds great she reminds me of my mom...I am trying to talk my mom into having

surgery but because of a past brain surgery she is scared to go under the knife

again!

Lisbeth :)

P.S. seriously do you think it will be a problem because I am not a Mt. Sinai

post-op I feel like such a party crasher!

mkfrilot wrote: I knew it would work! Yeah, Lisbeth! Can

an earlier post, but it sounds like looks like me, too, but

either way, you'll be OK no matter who you run into. will be

the tall, skinny-ass blonde in the short skirt, so we can't miss

her! ;} The meeting is from 6-8 and then we're gonna try to go out

for coffee (or whatever) afterwards. It'd also be great if we could

stop very briefly on the 10th floor to see my mama who will be two

days out of surgery. She'd get a kick out of meeting all of youz,

but I certainly won't try to force any of you to go! Can't wait to

meet you, dear! And good for you for obeying me. If everyone else

would just do this, things would be fine!

I agree! That's an excellent excuse to go shopping! LOL But, honestly - it

really doesn't matter what ya wear. :) The most important thing is the

friendships we'll forge and the fun we'll have talking with each other.

she reminds me of my mom...I am trying to talk my mom into having surgery but

Lisbeth - I'm trying to persuade my mom but she's afraid because of past

abdominal surgeries and her age. NOw that she's had this stroke, I hope she

sees how dangerous the situation is.

<<<<<<P.S. seriously do you think it will be a problem because I am not a

Mt. Sinai post-op I feel like such a party crasher>>>>>>

Honestly, I don't think it will be a big issue. I think the more important

thing is that you've had the DS. I know there are people from other groups

(particularly the other main hospital in the city that does DS - NYU) who

have attended meetings in the past. It is usually a pretty big group --- a

lot of pre-ops come to 'lurk' as well. The room gets pretty full and the

seats at the huge table are taken quickly -- so try to get into the room a

little early even thought he meeting begins at 6. Someone mentioned it *may*

run over a little bit because of the popular topic.

I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone! It will be great!

I hope you can come too! I'm going to meet in the cafeteria

OH, D: I was talkin' about you, girlfriend! But, the other is

more than welcome to come, too! If only the THERESA with an H would be there

as well... we'd have lots of fun trying to address each other with the body

I'm going to be there! We're going to try to make it around 5 so we can

Hi, : I don't want to rush anyone --- just that I have to start

headin' home around 10 (at the latest)... I DEFINATELY want to meet your mom

and give her my best regards. She may not be up for a long visit anyway.

Thanks so much, ! I feel GREAT and I think I look GREAT, too --- but

I just want those extra 28-38 pounds OFF! LOL I was so depressed when I

weighed in at 202 today! I think it's PMS bloating -- what a supreme bummer!

:) It's really just the stomach (still there a little bit) and butt/legs

--- I'd love to get into a size 12 -- I went a bought a bunch of stuff in 12

on sale in Michigan and I'd LOVE to fit into it! Cute little skirts from Old

Navy Outlet (one is 100 pct silk -- I got them in size 16 now to weight...

only 4 bucks each!)... cute little sleeveless dresses for the summer...

I know I must still be losing inches, though -- I lost a damn ring tonight!

Thank God it wasn't a gold one but it was one of my favorites -- a nice

little silver one with blue topaz stones... I traced my steps tonight but

couldn't find it. :(:( I should have known to just take the rings off when

one literally FLEW off my finger today when I was doing laundry. DUH! I

guess I'm not going to be wearing them until I get to final weight - then

I'll get them resized. And damn if my boobs haven't shrunk some more! ROFL

Maybe we should put our heads together and design bras for DS post-ops.

Bet we could make some money at that. They just would need to fit all

I think its amazing how our weight fluctuates during the day...when I was an

early post-op I was weighing all the time and becoming upset if the scale went

up so I decided to weigh once a day and to use that number as my weight now when

I plateau I can go up and down the same 5 lbs for weeks on end and it drives me

BONKERS. its when I go down one more lb than the normal + - 5 lbs that I know

that the plateau is broken and I will lose more weight....but that is how it

works for me at least..I have the feeling that you already look great even if

you didnt lose another pound!

Hey Judie,

I have an idea for those bras. They each need to come with moveable

saline inserts that can be formed around what ever is left of our natural

boobs to make them look like our boobs are full and firm and belong to a 20

year old. :)

Smiles,
