Guest guest
welcome to the group. A lot of what you can expect from the helmet depends on the ortho/clinician you are going to. If the provider has a lot of experience the results are generally better. You should look into anyone you are considering using, and see if there are alternatives and which is best. When we got my daughters band almost 4 yrs ago we just went where our specialist sent us and got the band. However I later realized we were quite lucky that it was a reputable place with very experienced staff. Some people waste a lot of time with someone who is not good at banding babies. If you want to post your area, or provider you are considering you may get feedback that way. Otherwise you can try searching old messages for the group (but search isn't always great for the groups). Another factor is your son's age and severity. That will have an impact on the amount of time he needs to wear his band. If he's younger he'll generally grow and improve faster. -christine sydney, 4 yrs, starband grad > > Hi, > > Our son just got diagnosed with Plagio - we are getting the helmet soon. Any tips we should know about? We are nervous about this and want to know if anyone out there has any lessons learned from your experiences. Guest guest
Thanks! We are using Cranial Technologies - Doc Band. They seem to know there stuff and I have been reading a lot of reviews and case-studies. I hope people have had good results/experience with this group! Our baby is 4.5 months - by the time we get the band he will be 5 months. > > > > Hi, > > > > Our son just got diagnosed with Plagio - we are getting the helmet soon. Any tips we should know about?
