Guest guest
Well folks, I was coping fairly well with feeling green all the time, but once it progressed beyond the green stage, that kind of tried my patience. I have been sick since about 6 p.m. last night and have no idea how you can still be getting sick to your stomach when there is nothing left! I finally called my surgeon this morning and he didn't seem surprised at all. He said that because of the tissues shredding at the duodenal anastimoses he was prepared for that opening to heal very small which would cause nothing to go down, ergo...barf a rama! He was going to wait until after Christmas....I cried, so he has scheduled an appointment with a gastroenterologist for me, hopefully for tomorrow morning. He said I have to spend the night in the hospital...sighs...I'm so bloody sick of hospitals...and she, the GE will do an endoscopy to stretch that opening. I am nervous, because I know that there is a slight possibility that she could perforate the opening...but, I also hear that this is fairly routine for those guys who have RNYs. I do like that the GE doc called me personally and sounds wonderful and was very reassuring. She also gave me her private cell phone number which was just fantastic! (I really must sound pitiful!) So, I am back in the hospital for two days either Thursday or Friday where they will pump massive amounts of fluids in me...there goes the 32 pound weight loss! laughing and I am hoping this will do the job. Prayers are welcome...as are any good thoughts you can send my way!
