Guest guest
Way to go !! So happy for you and Dino! There is a photo and link about the shoes on my web site linked below my name. It's a great shoe, my boys use it too. ee Visit Me On The Web For Clubfoot Information! http://www.wildliferevivaltaxidermy.com/ShawsPage.html UPDATE on Dino Well, we made our first trip out to Iowa last week to see Dr. P and his staff. It was very exciting to meet him. It was kind of cute, he was late to our appt because he had been so busy in the morning that he had to take a nap after his lunch, so we waited until he woke up and then he saw us. Unfortunately, he said that Dino will have to have a few extra casts to correct his feet because of the tendon lengthening surgery that our Dr. in Akron did in June. But that it is fixable. He thinks about 6-8 casts total. Our first appt was last Monday and DIno did great. He fussed while they put the casts on but other than that he did great and slept well, etc. Friday we went back and had the casts changed and it didn't go so well. Although I did see some results from just one set of casts, they were pretty aggressive putting the second set of casts on and it was hard to watch my Dino be in so much discomfort/pain. I even tried giving him some Tylenol before we went, but maybe I gave it to him to soon. WE are headed back out this Sunday, driving this time (9.5 hours) and I'll be staying for 3 weeks. Hopefully we will get all of the casts done in that time. That allows for 4-5 more casts....I'm staying positive. WIll anyone else be at the RMH? I called there tonight and am planning on staying there again. I do have a question about the brace. I believe that Dr. P said that we would go in to the brace after casting. Is there a website that I can go to see what this brace looks like and also, what should I know about it? I willtry to post some pics of our visit. Thanks again for everyone's support/feedback. Also, since I have found this site, I am so motivated to try and get the word out to others about the Ponseti method for treating clubfeet. I even emailed Dateline. I know that some folks at the RMH have also tried sending them emails to try and get them to do a story on clubfeet/treatment, but with no luck. I thought maybe if we could get a bunch of people here to send them an email, requesting that they do a story on Clubfeet/Dr. Ponseti/Ponseti method that maybe they would consider it? If anyone would be interested, please respond and I'll get you the email address. Thanks again!
