Gosh that is SO funny - another list of mine (totally un-WLS related) was

debating the same thing (about Lane being less than satisfactory,

lol!) Apparently, LB online sent out printable gift certificate for $25 off

ANY purchases and then the stores wouldn't honor them because they were

supposed to say $75 minimum purchase.

Sue,

You can count me in on the boycott! I hate their clothes anyway.

Very cheap and the hips are always too small for those of us who are

built like real women.

Their clothes have not kept up with real women styles, at least in my area.

They seem to be all for the younger age, not us in the 50's. I stopped

buying clothes at Lane a couple years ago, but I seem to always get a

gift certificate from someone at Christmas every year from LB. I am

collecting them now. maybe I should sell them on EBAY. LOL

Sheri Girl,

You laugh, but hey, that's not a bad idea!! Start your bidding at about 1/2

the face value and let the bidding begin!! If you won't use them....cash in

hand (even at 1/2 value) is better than a piece of paper you can't use!!!

The more I think about it...how do people have the nerve to give you a gift

certificate from LB? At least here, you can get a " mall certificate " that

can be used at any store in the mall...which does include LB. Man, I do

believe a gift certificate limited to LB would really tick me off!!

Sorry about the rant...I must be PMSing...must be about that time.

Hi Jerry,

I think the reason they get/got me the certificates from LB is because I

used to shop there alot. But that was years back, before I surpassed the

26/28 sizes. I found another store after that that went higher in sizes but

it was not close here. Truth be told, I have not received a LB certificate

for 2 years, but I still have a bunch. I went in the store looking to use

them and left with them intack. Not a thing in the store for someone my size

and my age. So they are collecting dust now. And the mall that is close

here has no other large ladies clothing stores. But the mall has now come

into the modern world and does sell certificates for any store. I just cant

fit into any of the clothes at the other stores YET. Lookout when I can.

lol I told people to get me mall certificates for when I need to get skinny

clothes <G>

EBAY might just be a good idea for those LB certificates.

Thanks

Sheri
