Guest guest
<<<<<In other NYC news, I met , , Terry (sp?), and Rich at the Sinai meeting. Only talked to Rich for a minute and had to leave after the four of us goils went to the meeting and visited Mama, but , Terry, and I went out afterwards. You should see eat! I'm SOOOOOO jealous! Bread and everything! Terry helped me quite a bit by reminding me to eat slowly. I loved meeting and spending time with all of you. Can't wait 'til next time!>>>>>> : Glad to hear you made it back ok... Did you even get to see the tree? I did take the kids to Rockefeller Center one year -- it was jam packed. Never did that again! LOL So you're saying I'm a little piglet, right? ROFL I sure can pack it away. I thought something was really wrong with me because I got 4-6 oz in per meal from the get go. I even asked Dr. G if he made my stomach larger than normal and he said no, it was the average size... All I know is thank GOD I'm still losing weight and even though my loss has been slow and steady, I'm pretty much where I want to be. I wish the same for everyone else out there --- I'm so glad I didn't have to give up fresh bread because it is my FAVORITE -- with lots and lots of butter! I don't eat it that frequently but when I do.... LOL I have to say both and Terry were very GOOD and didn't even TOUCH the bread basket! :) I just couldn't resist, man! <<<<<<Mama's doing well. She seems to be having more nausea and dizziness issues than I had, but she's toughin' it out. No complications during surgery, although Gagner did run into a ton of adhesions from her two, previous abdominal surgeries.>>>>>>> She looked great when we visited. Sorry to hear that she's experiencing nausea -- Did she get a script for that? I've heard that some people don't react so well to Compazine and she *may* have to experiment a bit. I hope it eases up soon. I can only imagine the car ride home -- much more comfortable than public transport, but motion sickness can raise it's ugly head... <<<<<<<Epiphany: Since I started eating more slowly and deliberately, resting between bites, I've been feeling better than ever. I also realized that I was simply eating too much. Yeah, I know. Took the brain child here only a month to figure it out. I tol' you I'm no good with the body listening thing. Anyway, thought you'd get a kick out of that. Here I am trying to gulp down too-large amounts of food and then I'm bitching the next minute about those crampy belly feelings! Funny, huh?>>>>>>>> Glad to hear you are feeling better and adjusting to post-op eating. It's difficult to know when one is 'full' -- I know that I didn't really know what it felt like before the DS. All the best, lap ds with gallbladder removal January 25, 2001 Dr. Gagner/Mt.
