Removing the braces herself

Well, " self do it " has entered unacceptable territory (although when

she smeared herself in vaseline like we apply suntan lotion to her, I

wasn't keen on that either). Lily, 15 months, is removing her

s ALL THE TIME. In bed (I now put the sleepsack on her at

sleep times but she has almost outgrown her sleepsack), in the

carseat, and many other times! She decided 8 hours out of the brace

was pretty great so why not " upgrade " herself to 24 hours out?

Seriously, we had no problems with this at 2 hours out but she

started walking and for the first time ever seems annoyed with her

boots.

I tell her no very firmly but for goodness sake, she is 15 months

old. I read a thread along these lines not too long ago and wondered

what the successful technique was. Is Livi's mom out there--what

worked? In addition, I saw there was a pattern here for a 3T sleep

sack--has anyone made this? Lily is 32 " long presently and wondering

if this would work for her if I can commission a family member to

make it. I thought about an ace bandage but was concerned about lack

of traction then. Any other brilliant ideas?

Thank you.
