Guest guest
HI, I have to add my 2 cents here. Acidophilus won't kill the yeast so douching with the yogurt might improve the situation, but the yeast might still out grow the acidophilus. I am prone to yeast infections after every course of antibiotics I've taken. So this is what I do. After I've finished the antibiotic. I either use OTC med for yeast infection or a douch with Betadine. This kills most of the yeast. A day later, I follow it with a yogurt douce (1-2 Tbs. yogurt to 1 qt warm water). This starts the good flora growing. If you are taking a long course of antibiotic, you might have to do this midway if the infection is getting bad. This always does the job for me. Rita <<Kind of OT but about acidophilusYou can get yeast infection meds over the counter. They have 1 and 3 day treatments--that do the trick. I know some have tried douching with yougort--not pretty and not real effective.>>
