Just ask one of the Sinai lobby personnel and they will direct you. Or, just visit www.surgicallyslim.com and navigate to the support group page where the meeting times and locations are listed. > > > Also, howz about alls of us meeting a little early at some designated > area soz we can meet each other? As for myself I almost never make the pre meeting meet due to work issues and generally don't get there till 6:15 or so. > > > And, if the meeting doesn't last too long, maybe we can go out for > coffee afterwards. Whaddya think? Meeting usually lasts till 8 pm give or take a few minutes. This meeting has potential to go longer given the subject matter this month. After most meetings though a group of people usually head out to a local joint for dinner, coffee, etc. As for me, I usually bail out and head home for dinner as I am beat up from a long day. More importantly my little boy and I have a " tuck in " pact!!!!!!(LOL) C Ya there!!!! > > > Best, > > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >

Hi, ! I'm so excited about going next Wednesday and meeting everyone! I'm coming with another post-op friend, Terry (we live near each other)! I think Sondra (another post-op) will also attend, but I'm not sure (she has to travel back to Staten Island by bus, I think). Here's the info I got: Mount Sinai Support Group Meeting Date: Wednesday, December 19, 2001 Time: 6:00PM - 8:00PM EST (GMT-05:00) BPD-DS Patients Only Location: The Mount Sinai Medical Center Annenberg Building, 5th Floor, Board Room Fifth Avenue and 100th Street New York, New York In case of changes, get updated info at: http://www.surgicallyslim.com <<<<<<Also, howz about alls of us meeting a little early at some designated area soz we can meet each other? Who are we looking at here? Rich, , ?, myself. Who else? >>>>> That sounds great! The post-ops (and pre-ops who come to 'lurk') usually meet in the cafeteria beforehand (on the 2nd floor, I believe in the main hospital building). You may not recognize anyone but it will be a big group of skinny people hangin' around! ROFL Terry and I were going out to dinner beforehand, but we'll probably come up to the cafeteria and have some coffee/tea or something beforehand... I'm not sure if they still do this, but they used to have refreshments during the meeting -- coffee, tea and soda (diet and regular). NO food though, so it is advisable to eat beforehand. I think Rich and both said they were planning to go next week -- I know TErry and I will be there and perhaps Sondra... I'm sure there will be plenty of other post-ops who go pretty regularly. I think Jill Sokol will be there... as well as Martenes, .. I don't know everyone's name who goes regularly... Jill looks GREAt and has had a lot of plastic surgery done this year. She mentioned that her plastic surgeon will be there to present and/or ask questions -- I'm really looking forward to learning more! - Did you get the chance to sign up for the MtSinaiDS group at Yahoo? I hope you didn't experience any problems signing up. I did mention my difficulties to the moderators. I'm not sure if it was Yahoo or the group's setup. They usually post info and also have discussions afterwards on that group so would be good for you to sign up and a good way to keep in touch with everyone... <<<<<<And, if the meeting doesn't last too long, maybe we can go out for coffee afterwards. Whaddya think?>>>>> That sounds really great, ! I think a bunch of regular post-ops usually do go out after the meetings... I never really joined them because I had the kids with me (dh watched them in the cafeteria) and I had to get going. However, took next Wednesday OFF so I'll be hangin' with my girlfriend Terry and rearin' to socialize! :) I don't really know the neighborhood that well, but I'm sure there's a coffeehouse or place to get stuff like that nearby... On another amusing note, these Russian ladies who live in the apartment complex down the street stopped me on my way back to the store today. They asked 'HOW DID YOU LOSE SO MUCH WEIGHT?' and kept insisting how good I looked. AT least one of them asked me if I was healthy -- to which I replied 'I FEEL GREAT!' :) I guess I'm the talk of the town in this little area of Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn since they mentioned that everyone was gossiping about me and wondering what was up! ROFL They must have thought I had some disease or something..... All the best, lap ds with gallbladder removal January 25, 2001 Dr. Gagner/Mt.
