Guest guest
's bone age has been a few years older than his chronological age for a few years now. His bone age is still advancing on Lupron, but not as rapidly as it was before. Now it seems to be advancing at a normal rate (i.e. 6 months in a 6 month time period). I asked Dr. Harbison about t his, as I though his chronological age would eventually catch up to his bone age. Dr. H said this was not always the case, and was happy that his bone age wasn't continuing to advance at the at the rate it was previously. is also on Aromasin, an aromatase inhibitor. This medication is more likely to stop bone age advancement that Lupron, as it stops the androgens from making estrogen (which can advance bone age). Kim C.
