Guest guest
, There are a few of us here on this board as well as on the " clubfoot " board whose children had the ATTT surgery. My son, Jake, had it done twice (it's a very very rare occurence to need the ATTT re-done); his surgeon is Dr. Dietz who works with Dr. Ponseti & Dr. Morcuende. Most of us have posted multiple times on the surgery so if you do a search on the boards for " ATTT " you should find lots of information (you might have to keep clicking the search button to go back a few months in your search). Feel free to email me with any questions you might have. Guest guest
, dr. M in Iowa is a very good doctor, we just love him. My son who is now 8 years old went through about 3 weeks fo casting followed by the ATTT back in 2000. He came otu of it just fine. s. ATTT Hi! I am in Iowa City with my son, Weston. We have been here 2 weeks. Dr. Ponseti just put the 3rd cast on Weston and is expecting to cast him at least once more. Then, Dr. Ponseti wants him to have an Anterior Tibial Tendon Transfer preformed by Dr. Murcuendo. This is very unexpected news for me! Has anyone or anyone's child had this procedure? Do any of you have any experience with Dr. Murcuendo? Any and all information or advice would be greatly appreciated!! Guest guest
Hi , My daughter Emma had the ATTT done by Dr. Morcuende. We were there from Canada and Dr. Morcuende went out of his way to schedule us in because we wanted to have him do the surgery and were only going to be in Iowa a short time. He's done the surgery many times--he's a good doctor as well a nice guy. The surgery is relatively minor and you may have already been told that it's not too invasive. Dr. Ponseti considers it " a very good operation " . If you have any questions feel free to ask. Dan
Guest guest
, is 4 and about 8 weeks ago had the ATTT done by Dr. M in Iowa City. He is just fantastic!! Everyone is right, you are in great hands. The ATTT is not a bad surgery to have. Dealing with the casts for 6 weeks is a challenge. But the moment the casts come off and you see those perfect little feet it makes it all worth it! If you have anymore questions feel free to ask! in Iowa, mommy to 4yrs bilateral clubfoot ATTT 4/13/06 > > Hi! I am in Iowa City with my son, Weston. We have been here 2 > weeks. Guest guest
My daughter just had the ATTT on June 1. We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Morcuende and the hospital. He was very nice and helpful. The entire hospital staff was wonderful. 25 more days of casts! (but who's counting?) Barbara > > Hi! I am in Iowa City with my son, Weston. We have been here 2 > weeks.
