Guest guest
Steph, I know you are trying to keep your sister going but keep trying. It takes time. I used to sign with , just a few words and I started around 5 months old. Most of the very few words I knew, over time she picked up and used. I know my mother-in-law was a pain in the a-- because she was so worried that then would rely on that and not talk, however, what she failed to realize is that it helped her talk but also it cut out a lot of frustration because she was able to communicate with me. did not have any problems, I just wanted to try it. With Kelli, I didn't and really wish I did. But once people realized (the in-laws) how great it was they would get a kick out of it. I know I had a book but cannot find it now that was I believe called Signing with your baby. I know some of the adult classes sometimes does it. In fact, when I taught to sign cookie it was great because not knowing she had a growth problem it worked well that if and when she wanted something she could tell me and then I would pull different boxes of food out and then she would point to which one she wanted. Good Luck B 5 1/2 and Kelli 2 3/4 --- rectherapists wrote: > Hello to all sorry I haven't posted in a while just > really busy > getting wedding things together.
