Guest guest
Hi I sent a link from ABC News regarding the mumps outbreak. Looks like its mostly effecting college students. They called it a mild viral infection. We were just in Iowa with Dr. Ponseti and so your email concerned me, that's why I found this link. Guest guest
I heard about it when I was there but I didn't see any signs of " epidemic " , if that makes sense. Speculation is that it's a new variety from over seas. I wouldn't cancel my appt. though, you won't be in the 'sick' part of any clinic. s. MUMPS IN IOWA??? Hi, It has been quite a while since I have posted, but I read the messages whenever I can. We are supposed to go to Iowa for a check up with Dr. P. on April 21st. Last night my mom told me about some big mumps breakout in Iowa. It is air borne and it is spreading to mainly young adults. They have already reported over 600 cases in the state. Has anyone heard of this! I am very paranoid about this and just wondered if it was a reason to cancell my daughter's appt. If anyone has been there recently, is it as bad as it sounds? Thanks, Claire 02-16-94 (atypical bl cf)
