Guest guest
We recieved our pads for the mitchell shoes today. Was wondering if anyone that is using them can tell me if you put the pads under the socks or above the socks? The did tell me that the go under the shoe, so I am guessing ontop of the socks. Also the have a fabric on one side, does it matter what way we put the fabric? The skin that was purple has started to peel, so we got the pads just in time. Maybe it won't all peel off. Guest guest
The skin will probably still peel off. But that's Ok, just put Neosporin on it and maybe a Telfa non-stick pad to protect it. I have put the pad both under and on top of the sock. I have to say that on top of the sock allows for some breathing of the area with the fabric side up twards the tongue. We have been using them for 2 weeks now or so, and they seem to be helping. I have tried several different ways and pads, and these seem to be the best. Guest guest
Christee, Thank you, got the shoes on and will see how it goes for a week or so. Then will let and Dr. Ponseti know how it goes. Did use the Telfa pads that is what we did before. Trying to keep the kids awake late so they are not awake early. Don't think it will work. Thanks for all the help. Are your little ones sores healing? Hopefully it won't be much longer. Karters usually take about 2 weeks or so to heal. We will see this time. Guest guest
Christee, You could still see where Karter's sores where when this started again. Those sores where from Sept.! So yes it will take awhile for the scars to lighten. Was wondering if the scar or scar tissue had something to do with this new sore. Glad that Lilee is doing better. Hopefully it will stay that way.
