Guest guest
Hi everyone. We had our eval with Cranial Tech a few weeks ago and are waiting for an answer from our insurance as to whether it'll be covered. We are still not 100% on getting the helmet. We've been repositioning for 2 months and in PT for his torticollis for 1 month, and Evan's head is improving, but it is the facial asymmetry we worry about. From what we were told - even at Cranial Tech - physical therapy for his tort will affect his face as much/more than the helmet will. We really want to make the most informed decision possible. Just for comparison, I'd love to see what your baby's asymmetry measurements were/are before starting with a helmet, and if you're done with the helmet, what they are now. Cranial Tech gives 3 numbers, but please share if you have a Hangar, StarBand, etc., as well. Evan's #s are: Cranial Vault Asymmetry - 11mm Mid-Face Asymmetry - 8 mm (were told this is severe) Skull-Base Asymmetry - 2 mm (were told 2 mm is within " normal " range) Thanks for sharing!
