Guest guest
- good morning. I've just been through this - but, the difference is - we don't have a feeding tube. What I did was wake Ian up at 11:30 am and feed him. I guess the question is how long Josiah normally goes without a feed. Ian can already go through the night without any issues in the morning - HOWEVER, when we had his CT scan yesterday - I INSISTED he have an IV placed and had his blood sugars monitored continually to make sure he was okay in the event his blood sugars dropped too low. It worked and by the time his sugars did drop (75) we were able to feed him at that point. This is an option for you. It's not pleasant having an IV - but, it's a comfort. Let's see what some of the more experienced individuals say here on the listserve - especially those with tube feedings. Good Luck - thinking of you. - H > > Hey everyone, > > Josiah is having a test on Monday for delayed gastric emptying as he > has been having lots of episodes of vomitting after a bolus feed > through his NG tube....he has thrown up his tube 2x's in the last 9 > days which requires a trip to the hospital to insert a new one.
