Guest guest
Hi, I started the diet a couple weeks ago for my 10 yr aspergers and 5 yr mild autistic sons. We had a blood test checking for glutein, casein and at the last minute I asked for soy and peanut too since it was the staple of their new diet. (Pediatrician said thye couldn't chck for corn too tho). The tests came back neg on casein and glutein and the 10 yr old aspergers came back mildly-mod peanut and soy!!! I feel like I am feeding him the poison now in my effort to clean him up. What a shocker. I was actually thinking there was a chance the 5 yr old would show up soy positive, since it was new to his diet and the hyperactivity I have seen correlates with the diet changes. SO now what? I think I will stick to the GFCF in spite of results, Also I plan to keep up the CLO and vitamin supplements I started. I orderedsome enzymes and want to start those too. Anyone have any suggestions? I am trying not to be discouraged with the diet. Does anyone know what the accuracy rate of lab bloodtests that th pediatrician orders (at my request). Thanks for any help at all.
