Guest guest
Perhaps switch to sugaring instead of waxing? It's less harsh. I am assuming that the dry skin comes from the fact that the body doesn't absorb fat (no fat = no oil to moisturize skin.) Origins makes some really great stuff for dry sensitive skin. > I was wondering if anyone has found a real good cream for the face. Guest guest
Ellen, My skin is peeling its so dry. This is my third hospital trip in as many months and I think that the surgeries I've had have really taken a toll on me. I have allergic reactions to most facial soaps and creams which further complicates things. I tend to only wash my face with water and even my shampoo will give me a rash when it gets on my face! I have been using some Cetaphil lotion...it's hypoallergenic and it doesn't make me break out with bumpies. I wet my face and put the lotion on with more water and my face has stopped peeling. I also would like other suggestions from anyone who has them. Thanks for raising the question! Guest guest
I haven't used any moisturizers on my face for years. Seem to have an allergic reaction to all of them. I wash my face with a gentle gel face wash. Blot and while still warm and moist, apply a very thin layer of vaseline. Works great. If it seems a bit shiny, I just dust on a little face powder. Guest guest
There's a really good book called " Don't Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me " by a Begoin (or something like that). She also has a website called www.cosmeticscop.com She rates all kinds of makeup, etc. She finally came out with a reasonably priced line of cosmetics herself. (I know that sounds like a line or something but she's been doing the cosmetic research for many years before having her own line.) dee --- kfetner2000 wrote: > I haven't used any moisturizers on my face for > years. I use Oil of Olay moisture renewal creme. I am at work and can't remember the exact name, but it is a nice thick creme and I put it on at night and by morning it is so soft. Guest guest
My 9 yr old has really sensitive skin. The dermotolgist has her using Eucerne cream (not the lotion). We get it at Walmart & it has done wonders for her. Janet
Guest guest
I have extremely dry skin on my face, and entire body, but I had this since I was 15 years old. My face get gets so tight when I come out of the shower, it hurts to open my mouth wide. I have been using Kay Advanced Moisture Treatment Cream, and their gentle cleansing cream Formula one. I use to use the beeswax moisturizer that was out before the newest cream, which also worked great. I use this this in the am, and pm as I have such dry skin. It works great, leaving my skin very soft. I do get a lot of compliments on my so called porcelain skin, so it must have done something for me in the last 28 years. I do not sell, or have any interest in Kay, but it really does a good job for me. Patti P.S. I do have Sjogrens syndrome also which causes my skin to dry out, so it is not all from the lack of fat.
