Guest guest
Hey, guys. Just checked out the liquid protein information. Couldn't find the Twinlab brand that Steve talked about, but GNC makes their own under a brand named Challenge. Same price, same flavor. Three TBS gives you 18 grams of protein. Question: why not use the Vita4Life protein instead (aside from the fact that it tastes disgusting)? If 3 TBS = about 1 1/2 oz., why not drink the 2 oz. packet of Vita4Life and get nearly twice the protein (30 grams, I think)?
Guest guest
, I thinking the difference is the gagging factor. Most people who have tried the Vita4life liquid protein return it because they just can't tolerate it. The LLP protein is also gross, but most people are able to get it down. I'll let you know my opinion of Twinlabs LLP once my defrosts *grins*. I got it from the www.advnut.com site. It's listed under " L " I believe for liquid protein. 2 tbs is 15gms. Guest guest
Can't wait to hear what you think, Anita! Yes, the Vita4Life is foul, indeed! I tried the honey flavored and the orange cream--BARFOLA! Oh, yeah--not only did I try them alone but also tried them in many different kinds of mixtures. OK--so TWO Tbs. is 15 grams. The GNC brand is, like I said, 3 Tbs. for 18 grams. But for me, less is more, honey. Two Tbs. sounds like a manageable " shooter " to me! Guest guest
I tried the Atkins protein drink--Chocolate one, and was surprised how well it went down. I got the one in the can all mixed. No sugar or carbs in it. They are pricey--$2.50 each at GNC. Pammi > Hey, guys. > > Just checked out the liquid protein information. Guest guest
I purchased the Twinlabs LLP predigested protein at the Vitamin Shoppe. It's very thick, and imposible to pour when cold, so keep it at room temp. I definately cannot drink this straight, because of the thickness, and the taste. It's like really strong cough syrup, but when it's mixed with OJ, and an ice cube, to make a total of about 6 oz. of liquid, it's not that bad.
