Guest guest
Tabitha, I haven't been on email for a few days. I was so sorry to hear about your husband's health. I'll keep him in my thoughts on Monday and say a prayer that his diagnosis is good. You have so much to deal with right now, don't beat yourself up about the shoes. Your husband needs you and you'll get it all sorted out. At least with and Iowa you know that Karter is in good hands. We haven't had the Ponseti brace, but I hear they are pretty user friendly, so I'm sure you'll get your 'helpers' trained up soon enough :-). My thoughts are with you and your family. I'll keep updated with the website. Take care, Moss CEO Steps Charity <http://www.steps.org.za> www.steps.org.za Cell: _____ From: nosurgery4clubfoot [mailto:nosurgery4clubfoot ] On Behalf Of Yarolim Sent: 11 May 2006 09:25 AM To: nosurgery4clubfoot Subject: OT hubby I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. We might have a long road ahead of us. Since Feb. the hubby has been having bad head aches. And these spells where he just kind of blacks out and doesn't remember. Well he was having seizures. Over the weekend he had a large one..... did remember me or where he was, couldn't speak, and couldn't walk. Took him to ER and the did a CT scan (after they accused him of doing street drugs) and found the tumor. The sent us to Iowa City. The Dr.'s have got him better with seizure meds and meds to reduce the swelling. The have let us come home until Monday so he can spend some time with the kids. At this point we do not know a whole lot. It it rather large, tennis ball size. It also has tenicles (sp?) and blood vessels that go directly into the brain. They will not be able to remove that due to the damage it will cause. Even if everything goes well, it is a good possibility that he will loose the vision in his left eye and movement of left arm/hand, just from the location of the tumor. This will be something that we can live with. They are also very worried about swelling, since he already has it. That in it self can cause all kinds of damage to the brain. He is having surgery Monday around 1:30pm and should last 6-8 hours. We will know by Wen. if it is cancer. I talked to nurse . See in all this process I left so fast to Iowa City, that I forgot to give my mom Karter's shoes so he has been out of shoes since Sat. Morning. I told her we might need some more casts. maria said they could do that. Such a bad mommy. So know in the next couple days I need to show about 4 people how to get the shoes on and hopefully they do good so we don't end up with sores. Thank you all again, We will try to keep you updated. Otherwise we do have a webpage for him to keep everyone updated it is www.caringbridge.org/visit/jacobyarolim Tabitha mommy to Brittanie 6 Karter blcf 21 months

Guest guest
I cannot begin to imagine the level of fear you're living with right now Tabitha. Our prayers are with you. The shoes are really the least of your worries today, I'm sure your child will be just fine despite his small vacation from the brace. love, shawnee Re: OT hubby Tabitha, Sending my concern and best wishes too. Guest guest
Tabitha, My heart goes out to you and your family!! What a TON to deal with! Hope that the surgery goes well on Monday and that they are able to remove most of it. Big Hugs girl (((( )))) and don't you feel guilty one little bit about his brace, you have so much on your plate right now! You can get his feet situation straightned out in Iowa if needed anyway. & Grace > > I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. We might have a long road ahead of us.
