Guest guest
Hi Amber, I prescribe to Dr H's thoughts on this matter. She believes that our kids should attain all of the caloric catch-up growth that they can, and only then should they start GHT. Before the age of 2, caloric intake NOT GH rules growth in the human body, therefore why waste GH by using it before the age of two??? is g-tube fed, and Dr H felt he had completed his caloric catch-up when even though he continued to gain weight, his vertical growth had flat-lined. For this happened around the age of 2. He started GH at the convention last year, at 2.5 yrs old. There are others on this list serve that haven't started until after the age of 4. It is a very individual thing! Hope this helps. Pat (g-ma to , RSS, 3 yrs 5 months old, 23#, 33 " , G-tube, GHT)
