Guest guest
My son's feeding problems were way too severe for this, but I was offered this feeder that is supplemental to breast feeding - it is either pumped breastmilk or formula in a bag with a tube coming out which is taped to the side of the breast to help get milk available to the baby which is easier to suck. We later realized that Tim had (and has) severe appetite problems from the RSS, but he also had a very small chin and a weak muscle tone as a baby, so that's why the breastfeeding clinic suggested these things, I think... Guest guest
, I got your email, too, but wanted to let you know that I am glad that they found out what was going on with Summer. I knew it sounded just like with his malacia. Just go with your gut on what to do. Just make sure she does get the extra calories because that will help her endurance as well once she starts putting on some more weight and gets stronger. got really worn out when I tried to breastfeed him, too. Even the bottle was too hard for him. He would sleep forever after a session. It as just the right decision for us to continue to give him the breastmilk with human milk fortifier added to it. I had to pump my milk, but it was so worth it. It was the only thing he could tolerate successfully. The other stuff made his reflux worse. I still to this day think he had some milk intolerance. Even now he is on a formula that is good for kids that have milk intolerance. Let us know what you decide to do. I hope she continues to improve daily. I know this is very hard for you. Take care and know that we all care and are thinking about you and your family.
