Think of at 1pm PST Thursday

Hi all -

I've decided that I need to ask for positive thoughts and prayers,

and am seeking anyone and everyone, tomorrow Thursday at 1pm PST

(that is 2pm Central time, 3pm Eastern time) to think positive

thoughts for me.

I had a mass removed from my nasopharynx (which is above your

throat/mouth and below your sinuses) last February. Biopsy said non-

cancerous. Sadly, within 3 months it grew back again. So tomorrow,

at 1pm PST, I am having a different kind of surgery to remove it

again, but more thoroughly.

My problem is that I have major anxiety surrounding myself and

surgeries. I had 9 surgeries from 1981 to 1995, but in the last 10

years, only the one last Feb. The docs know that they have to knock

me out in the waiting area, long before I get near any operating

room.

It somehow comforts me, when I begin to hyperventilate and get

scared, when I close my eyes, think of a beach or hiking, and

remember all the people thinking positive thoughts and believing in

me that I can get through this. For those of you who can take a

moment between 12:30pm and 1:30pm, can you think a thought for me?

Thank you!!! You don't have to post responses to the listserve -- I

will know you are thinking. I will write as soon as I am up and

about.

I will be sending lots of positive thoughts and prayers your way

today. You can do this. You will be okay. It's too bad you have to

go through this again, but you will be strong. Just know that lots of

us are with you on this - in spirit if not physically present!

You can bet I will be thinking about you. Maybe you can dream about

all of us and how much fun we have at Convention together. Hee,

hee. :o) You have been such a great support for me so now I will

return the favor in support for you. I just know you will be fine.

I had my two left wisdom teeth just recently pulled and they told me

they weren't giving me anything other than the numbing shots during

the procedure. I about died. I am such a big baby! But, I made it

through and you will be fine, too. It is the anticipation that could

drive you nuts though.

Thinking about you,

Jodi R.
