Guest guest
-we have been seeing Dr. VonStein for the last year (my daughter is 1)...as have many people on this list. She knows her stuff and has trained with Dr. Ponsetti on MANY occassions including a recent visit. Her staff are VERY knowledgable in the Ponsetti method. We put our daughter's feet into her hands and have just been amazed at the turnaround. It is possible the name " Ohio " slipped past Dr. P since he has so much to do in one day, but I am sure if you asked him directly either about a Cincinnati Doctor OR specifically about Dr. VonStein he would only say the best of things. I only know this because when we consulted with him for a second opinion, he held her in the HIGHEST regards and only had the greatest things to say about her. If you need any more information on her please don't hesistate to write me. Namaste' LeighAnne
Guest guest
I know he recommended us to her, but our son had just come out of casts after 5 castings as was doing well and within the age range that most good Ponseti doctors are trained and experienced. Many the age had something to do with it, but I would think he would at least have recommended a visit to her to see what she said. She would recommend you to Dr. P if she didn't feel comfortable and you asked her opinion. She came highly recommended when by him when we started going. 11/19/04 LeighAnne wrote: -we have been seeing Dr. VonStein for the last year (my daughter is 1)...as have many people on this list. Guest guest
Perhaps the issue is really just that she may not have much experience with the atypical/complex feet. Kelsey is also a patient of hers and we think she is great as well but she may just not have much experience with these extra special cases. From what I have picked up on this board, not all of the doctors have this experience. Guest guest
Thanks LeighAnne. I am actually going to call Dr. P tomorrow and I have a list of questions for him, so I'll be sure to bring up Dr. VonStein. I think we will make the trip to see him personally, but maybe he can refer us to her when he goes in to the brace?
