Guest guest
A couple of the groups to which we subscribe request that we post every two weeks so this is an update for that purpose. has recovered from a 'bug', but continues excessive stimming to the extent that we contacted autism specialist who upped his dose of Paxil to 5 ml. Not seeing any difference yet as it's only been two days. He is however, a happy boy. School continues to report inconsistency and we continue to look for a more appropriate program for as the TEACCH method doesn't seem to be 'cutting' it for him--although perhaps he's unable to progress in any program. One never gives up though. In October, sees autism specialist, endocrinologist, ENT specialist, and gastroenterologist. We suspect he may be taken off the vitamin cocktail, because in spite of the small miracles we'd hoped for, he's only grown as a result of taking it. (Not a bad thing though.) As a result of continued physical therapy, can now get up on his feet from a 'crawl' position on the floor. This is helpful as he now weighs about 60 lbs. We are rarely seeing attack mode these days, but anticipate with the upcoming holidays, he may get stressed. Although we may try to keep the decorations to a minimum, even the tree seems to bother him. As for his big sister, she's in counseling for her attitude toward and we see minimal improvement thus far, only having taken her a few times. Sometimes she's downright mean to him and other times she just bad mouths him. Kids. Hoping this finds all well and enjoying autumn.
