Guest guest
No actually this is pretty normal, especially being on Pred. When I get a 3 day IV steroid burst, I feel good, and do almost the same, I don't have the leg to do all he does, but I am busy organizing, cleaning more. Hey that's what I need to get my extra room cleaned out. It's hard to sit still when you feel good, you feel like you have to do all you can while you feel good, the hard part is that when it hits you, you come to a dead stop. My husband tells me to pace myself, but I don't, and pay later. So even though it seems crazy to you, its pretty normal for those on Pred. tell to pace himself though so he doesn't get so tired, he just drops, of course he probably won't listen:) Marla " Fear less, hope more; Eat less, chew more; Whine less, breathe more; Talk less, say more; Love more, and all good things will be yours. " - Irish Proverb I think my husband has gone crazy. When he feels great, he goes and goes and goes and never stops. He cleans the entire house including bathroom. He works on our yard constantly. He works on our vehicles with our friend including 4-wheeler. He is ornary when the house is dirty (a little messy). Now he's working on the bedroom, painting and flooring! > > > Hello, > > couldn't sleep lastnight again...another sleepless night in our > > house. The meds (pred) he is taking keep him up at night. Guest guest
absolutely normal. this time around on prednisone for me started a couple months ago. within two days i had cleaned out the basement and had begun remodeling down there, knocking out walls & rewiring stuff. sadly it never lasts too long, 2 weeks later i was dragging my knuckles in the dirt & starting to nap again. it's a great feeling for a little while, and when i get it, i make it a point to get stuff done, because i know it won't last. anyone who figures out how to bottle that feeling and sell it will make a million chris No actually this is pretty normal, especially being on Pred. Guest guest
You know, I was on Prednisone for over 2 years & never had those bursts of energy. My maximum daily dose was 40mg, so maybe I wasn't getting enough of it, although I was blessed with all the other Pred effects. Guest guest
When I have one of those rare days when I feel good and invinceable, I do the same thing. Because.... I know it is not going to last, and I do it knowing that I am "really" going to pay for doing it. But it feels so good for just a little while to feel a little bit normal. And there is so much my mind still wants to do and dreams about doing, that when I think about starting my body goes "I dare you, just try it". I have gotten so frustrated in the past, I have deliberately refused to give in to my body until it took me to my knees, or totally down. I am a fighter, as I am sure your husband it. It is very difficult for me to give in, even when it is the best thing to do. To: Neurosarcoidosis Sent: Fri, April 8, 2011 1:33:02 PMSubject: Re: Sleepless night I think my husband has gone crazy.
