Guest guest
we do the same thing. seems the heavier the blankets, she does fine. we've got I think 4 baby type blankets on Darbi at the moment and she also likes it tucked under her feet to keep them warm. Other times, she sleeps with us so no issues there with blankets. I wish they made a feather/down blanket crib sized. That seem the best since the brace slips on the slick cover and it's always warm. Works really well in our bed and should in hers too. She sleeps in a crib that is converted to a daybed with a crib sized mattress. Love to find crib sized flat sheet too but no one offers one that size. Slick sheets seem to be the best thing for movement under the covers. Darbi is 3 on the 28th this month. So same age as Ridley. sorry I don't have any definitive answers, just what seems to work for Darbi. She does wake some early mornings but who knows if it's tangled or just the way it is. Guest guest
We dispensed with blankets all together and just put her in really warm jammies, layers. Also put corrugated cardboard along the walls of the crib and also wall next to toddler bed to prevent destruction. older kids brace and duvets Hi How does everyone cope with the brace and duvets? Ridley twists and turns so much that he wraps himself up like a mummy and then gets upset. We've had to leave the toddler crib blanket and duvet on as it's short enough not to get caught up. The downside is that we have to either make sure he is in multi layers as he'll be without the duvet in hours! or go in 2 or 3 times a night to put on the covers. Any tips for my 3 year old? Guest guest
Thanks Kori. We're still using the blanket. Guest guest
Good idea but I've not seen any big enough. Where did you get your one from? Guest guest
Hi I wish we had thought of the wall next to the bed as it's been scratched and marked up, sadly. He likes to be covered so we still use blankets. Thanks. Melitsa > > We dispensed with blankets all together and just put her in really warm > jammies, layers. Guest guest
You could hang a decorative quilt on the wall to protect it? older kids brace and duvets > > > Hi > > How does everyone cope with the brace and duvets? > Ridley twists and turns so much that he wraps himself up like a mummy and > then gets upset. Guest guest
Home made. There is a pattern on here size 2T you can print out and assemble, but also I've seen them in fabric stores (patterns). With a pattern at least yuo can make summer weight and winter weight and probably various sizes too. They're pretty simple to sew and if you use certain materials that don't fray at the edges it's even easier. s. Good idea but I've not seen any big enough. Where did you get your one from? Thanks Melitsa
Guest guest
That's a great idea, ee. Lily's crib quilt is hanging on the wall because I figured she'd get too tangled in it to use it in the crib. But when we move her to a bed down the road, I'll remember to use your suggestion. Thanks. Guest guest
www.onestepahead.com sells up to xlarge. however, in the files section if you are handy with a needle/thread there is a pattern for a 2t that can easily be adjusted for a larger size. hope this helps, kathleen > > > > sleep sack > > older kids brace and duvets > > > > > > Hi > > > > How does everyone cope with the brace and duvets? > > Ridley twists and turns so much that he wraps himself up like a > mummy and > > then gets upset.
