50/50 chance?..personal question

i'm new at all this posting stuff..i wanted to email the person

privately with this question..but just wasn't sure how.i read how

valerie's doctor gave her a 50/50 chance of making it thru the

surgery..i am wondering what medical condition caused those odds. i

am not just being nosey. first of all, i am so impressed and proud of

you, valerie that you went ahead and did it. good for you! secondly,

i am pre-op with no date yet..and have many medical problems. i am

getting really scared that i will not make it through.if you feel

comfortable sharing..please do..if not,i apologize for my asking.

I know you posted this to , but I have to chime in here. If

you are a high surgery risk with the DS then you are a high surgery

risk for all surgeries. This means you will be taking a chance

everytime you need a lifesaving surgery. If you go through with the

DS chances are that you surgeon will take extra measures to see your

safe, and any future surgeries you have will be safer because you

will be less risk.
