Guest guest
, Right now, because of the battle with nausea from my antibiotics, I am just trying to keep anything that goes in, down. I have tried 3 protein drinks and they all suck! I will revisit them next week, because...yes, I know, stranger than truth...my ADEKs no longer taste as horrible as they did! I have added my refrigerated lactobacillus, acidopholus...it tastes like the malted part of a milk ball...very good! Thanks Judie, and I am attempting to drink more liquids in the form of Green Lipton Tea...thanks Mich! I am not eating much, and am supposed to be on a liquid diet, so laughing, I ate half a taco today and chewed the hell out of it! It was lousy but stayed down! Doc says not to get paranoid about sugar, vitamins or anything else right now, because I have to worry about getting my stomach and anastimoses in shape first. Sugar is intriguing, but I just don't want any...waits for roof to collapse in on me! 4 tiny little popcorn shrimp and 3 tablespoons of smashed potatoes that i ate last night, did not remain seated...sighs, but I was hungry and wolfed them down. So I am wondering if it wasn't what I ate, but how I ate that got me sick? Any feedback on that would be appreciated! My vitamist is in the mail...should arrive anyday and that will be my first forray into vitamins other than the ADEKs I am taking. Guest guest
Ti, I hurl when I eat too fast as well, even though I chew. I once hadn't eaten for about 3-4 hours and had 1 chicken nugget which I threw up because I just ate way too fast. Speed is a definite factor. I found that it also helps me to eat more frequently at this time because if I wait too long that's when I'm starving and try to eat too fast. Also, because of all the chewing for the shrimp, the one time I had shrimp it made me feel overfull as well and that was 2 grilled shrimp and nothing else except liquids before. At this point, I usually just work on 'breakfast' for the entire day *grins* It's hard though because I'm picky and get bored easily so sometimes I just don't feel like eating at all which does not help weight loss. If you're on antibiotics, everything maybe coming up due to the nausea though. How long do you have to be on them ? You should try some deli meats as well. I got Healthy Choice ham, which I tried one slice and hated. I have since learned from others that Healthy Choice deli meats in general have NO taste, so I won't be trying any others of that brand. I am told that the Primo Taglio (Safeway here has it and I think Von's there) line is good, tasty deli meat. Hope you can start to keep things down! *hugs* Anita 4 tiny little popcorn shrimp and 3 tablespoons of smashed > potatoes that i ate last night, did not remain seated...sighs, but I > was hungry and wolfed them down. Guest guest
Anita, My stomach is doing real well now, thanks. I found that if I have some Cream of Wheat in my tummy at least a half hour before taking my antibiotics the pill stays down. Smashed potatoes are having the same affect! Seems the glue tends to do it! Thats why it scared the heck out of me when I lost my shrimp. I am trying to get in the habit of eating normally...for DS that is, but its so hard after a lifetime of don't eat at all until I am starving, then grab something on the run. Losing my supper last night really scared me! Tonight I had one scrambled egg which I ate slowly and started getting that heartburn stuffed feeling just like last night. It doesn't happen in the morning or afternoon! Lunch meats are wonderful and today, thanks to Dan, I had a little beef jerkey which I chewed into oblivion. It was orgasmic! Ahh the joys of eating. I had a bite of my favorite See's candy and it tasted horrible...whining. Have I lost chocolate forever??? Guest guest
Theresa: You just reminded me of one of the few reasons I miss California: SEE'S CANDIES! Bordeaux is my favorite! I'm sorry you had a bad time with the chocolate. When I ate my two bites of brownie in NYC it was delicious. Then again, I tried to eat a fireball hard candy last night and it was disgusting! Weird, huh? So I guess that we're the models of " compliance " when it comes to not touching sugar? ;} Best, > > 4 tiny little popcorn shrimp and 3 tablespoons of smashed > > > potatoes that i ate last night, did not remain seated...sighs, > but I > > > was hungry and wolfed them down. Guest guest
Ok , Does compliant mean not breaking the rules more than once or never breaking em? Laughing....
