Hi Jodi,

Sorry to hear about your insurance issues. Things will work out you'll see.

When does your husband plan on going back to work? I'll say a prayer for you

and your family. See you in October.

Jodi,

I can't believe his employer is doing that to you. They sure don't give you

much time to come up with the money.

Maybe the orthopedic will put you on a payment plan?

I will be saying an extra prayer for you tonight.

HEY ALL!!

AS SOME OF YOU KNOW MY HUBBY HAS BEEN OUT OF WORK SINCE JUNE 10TH ON

WORKMENS COMP FOR 3 HERNIATED DICS IN HIS BACK, WELL TODAY WE GET A

LETTER FROM HIS EMPLOYER THAT THEY ARE NO LONGER GOING TO PAY THEIR

PORTION OF OUR HEALTH INSURANCE SINCE HE IS NOT WORKING!! THAT

MEANS WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY $1014 A MONTH FOR OUR INSURANCE TO KEEP

IT!!! AND WE HAVE TO PAY BY SEPT 30TH OR THEY ARE GOING TO

TERMINATE OUR INSURANCE BENEFITS!!! AAAHHHHHH!!!!

SO NEEDLESS TO SAY I CALLED THE DRUG COMPANY TO FIND OUT HOW TO GET

HIS GH AND THEY SAID THEY WILL SEE IF WE QUALIFY FOR THE PATIENT

ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. I ALSO CALL SS TO SEE ABOUT GETTING HIS SSI AND

MEDICAID BACK SINCE THEY TOOK IT AWAY IN MAY BECAUSE THEY SAID MY

HUBBY WAS MAKING TO MUCH NOW FOR CHRISTOPHER TO GET IT!!! WE HAVE

AN ORTHO. APPT ON THE 5TH OF OCT. BECAUSE DR H SAID THAT CHRISTOPHER

NEEDS A LIFT AND IS GETTING MUSCLE STIFFNESS DUE TO WALKING ON THE

BALL OF HIS FOOT ALL THE TIME ON THE " LONGER " LEG!! NOW I DONT KNOW

IF I SHOULD CANCEL IT SINCE NOW WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO PAY OUT OF

POCKET FOR THE VISIT!!

Jodie,

I am so sorry this happened to you! I know it can be a scream! Just a

tip on the shoe thing. Consider if you can't make the appt. putting

one of those shoe inserts inside his shorted side shoe! We did this

for Storm when he played T-ball and he said it helped him run better!

(Just a thought until you get it all squared away!)

Blessings,

Carmen

Jodi,

In the meanwhile, can you move up the October 5 appointment? Try

calling the doctor and explaining the situation. I am sure they will

fit you in early. We have done that before and it always worked.

Heck, I wound up with the twins that way (our insurance was changing

and we weren't going to have infertility coverage anymore so we moved

up our second in vitro try and got pregant).

Best of luck.

Judith, Steve, (RSS) and (non RSS) 5 year old twins

Jodi,

Did you call the workers comp attorney? Also, is there a union that Terry is

in? If you need help or have questions and can't get a hold of your attorney,

call me at work. I can get my boss to answer or e-mail me your questions and I

will forward them to him.

I just called my sister who's boss does workers comp and she said they cannot

stop paying the health insurance for him and they cannot let him go!!!!

Call your attorney or call me at work or my sister at work - whichever you are

more comfortable doing.
