Dear Anita,

I am almost 8 months post-op and I usually eat about 5-6 times a

day. I eat my normal three meals and have at least 2, sometimes 3

snacks a day. A snack may consist of a single serving size of soy

nuts, a yogurt, string cheese or some turkey jerky. I find that this

works for me better than trying to squeeze in all my (protein) food

into 3 meals. I too would have felt very, very hungry if I didn't

eat in 8 hours during the day. If I know I am going to be eating a

meal late or when I go to a party, I make sure that I have a small

snack beforehand. I keep single serving packets of organic soy nuts

from GNC at home, in my car, in my desk and in my purse. Each small

envelope is about an ounce or so and has 13 grams of protein. They

were on sale and I bought a case and paid only 25 cents an envelope.

I find that these really " hold me over " . I also like the turkey

jerky from Trader Joe's. It carries easily (comes in its own ziploc)

and it doesn't have nitrates.
