christopher's first day back to school

hey everyone!!

well today was christopher's first day back to school this year. he

is being main streamed into the general ed. preschool (he has been

in the preschool disabled class for the last 2 years). it is a

morning class form 8:30-11:30am (last year was an afternoon 12:30-

2:30pm class) so needless to say getting up this morning was an

adjustment for him!! we got him an alarm clock to help wake him,

well it didnt work, it went off at 7am and beeped loudly for 4 min.

right above his head and he never moved (then again neither did his

7 1/2 yr old brother in the bunk above him!!! LOL!! i finally got

him up and awake, dressed, periactin and he ate half of a bagel with

cream cheese and margrine. and then on the bus with the older kids!!

(we are in walking distance so nicholas has to walk but christopher

gets bused since he is classified)

he took his lunch box full of snacks and he gets to have lunch

before he comes home. he had a great day and ate really good. his

teacher is the same person that he has been with for the last 2 yrs

and so are the aides so they know the deal with getting him to eat

(actually they yell at me for their weight gain every year!!!

LOL!! i tell them they dont have to eat just him but they dont want

him to feel lonely!!!)

he had pretzels, a box of raisins, a whole hot dog, half of a

chocolate milk, and crackers. he then came home and had a

lunchable, girl scout thin mints. he is eating so good today,

hopefully now that school has begun he will put on some weight!!

he also grew height wise since we got him his new pants last

month!! they were over his heels when we bought them and now they

are just touching the top of his shoe!!! he needs a 4T for the

length!!

and Emerence are up by 6 am every day....without fail....and

inevtiably earlier on teh weekend.

well this morning he woke up after about 1 min of his alarm going off,

but he didnt know it was his, he thought it was nicholas'. he ate

really well today before leaving though, he had 6 mini pancakes

smothered in margrine and 2 pieces of sausage!!!
