Guest guest
Well, with the VBG you get a stoma, well, you get a small opening at the bottom of the staples which is kept small because of the ring around it. Anyway, in MHO this would put people off of eating meat and vegetable, because when the food would get stuck and not go out the little outlet between my VBG part into the bigger stomach part, and I would throw up after each meal, I found that softer foods like ice cream, candy and such would go down easier. I never blended meat in the blender, but kinda stopped eating it because I'd throw up. So, I personally think that the VBG and the RNY are kinda the same except you don't dump with the VBG, but you can't eat real food either. That's why when I was researching additional WLS and stumbled across the BPD/DS, I decided that that was what I wanted. I'd already been punished enought with the surgery for the VBG, the daily puking from the VBG, and the weight regain. Now I'm 145 lbs and feel great!
