i haven't read all the post on this disaster that happened down here

but i know the ourpour of help from everyone areound the entire U.S>

has been wonderful, here in terrell which is about 40 miles east of

dallas we have about 300 survivors here, my church fed about 200

yesterday at one of the motels, they were so happy to eat, everyone

takes turns feeding them so they don't have to worry about food, it

is so good here tehy are turning away clothes and told them to take

them somewhere else everyone has plenty, which is a huge blessing.i

am so sunburned from being out there, but it was worth it, we cooked

goulash ( kinda like spaghetti) salad rolls cookies and brownies,

there was 15 or so of us cooking, and there was so much left over,

and they were so thankful, they get walmart cards to get what they

need, people are always coming out with shampoo, soap, women needs,

socks, underwear, you name it it is there, a table FULL of diapers

and formula..........the outpour of help is so greati know the big

shelters in dallas are packed as full as they can get......we loaded

a uhaul at our walmart here saturday that a few people took to LA to

give the people who are still stuck there things they needed, and

they sent it all back, refused it!!it is so sad how this country can

turn help away when people are DYING over there..........to any one

who lost people or who are affected by this GOD BLESS YOU.......the

gratitued of these people who are here is so wonderful, some of them

lost everything and are going to settle here some don't know where

some of there family members are, if they are alive.......it is so

sad.......sorry this is long just wanted to let people know we are

honestly doing everything in this town we can, unlike some

others.......and for you who don't know, terrell, tx is the home of

jammie foxx and he was around here and dallas over the weekend

volunteering his time and efforts too, gotta go, chicken is burning!!

LOL go figure, stephanie adams
