Guest guest
Aidan was born Jan 10 and can sit up now. He can pull himself up sometimes, especially if he is reclined just a little bit. We just got the boots down to part time use this week, and he can sit up without them too! We were worried that he wouldn't be able to, that maybe the bar was keeping him balanced. He also rolled over really early too. I think that the bar helps them balance better! Anyways, Zachary was born at the end of Jan. 2006, with bcf, in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. He's wearing the FAB 23/7 now until the beginning of August and I just wanted to let everyone know that he is doing well after an initial adjustment period with the FAB (Markell boots/gold non-adjustable bar). Zachary's dad is finally able to get those little boots on just right, so he's the delegated " boots & bar " guy every evening when he comes home from work. I will share this job later on when Zachary is a bit older. Why mess with something that works? I have a question. At what point did your babies with clubfeet sit up? Guest guest
Hi there. is now 10 months, but she was sitting up around 5 months too. I remember she sat so well as the bar helped maintain her balance! She also rolled over at 2 months - the bar helped her do this too - although she was able to roll onto her tummy but couldn't seem to get back onto her back. She's now crawling and standing with and without the bar. So, really the bar doesn't hold them back at all - rather it seems to help them! -Yuuko and DOB 8-4-05, P/M 12-14/7 I posted here for the first time a few weeks ago and I've been > following the message board ever since. Guest guest
Hi our son Ethan didn't really sit up until around 7 1/2 - 8 months but don't know if this was just him as we tend to do everything later in our family or because he only got out of casts at just under 7 months (due to having to start again with listed ponseti doctor rather than local hospital). He crawl at around 11 months though tummy crept at 10 Months. Pulled up around 11-12 months and cruised around 13 months now at 15 months he can walk with holded fingers or push along walker. I walked late and so did my brothers and sisters (around 18 months) so not too worried as clubfoot comes from dad's side of family and he's got my lazy 'do it when I'm ready' genes!
