okay, i just got back from the hospital and i am so mad....i told

them kyla has had fever since sunday it has gotten to 104.9 she has

had no other symptoms except not eating, even though we started her

periactin last week...i told them we went to the doctor yesterday who

said she had a sore throat and gave amoxil but thats it...she hasn't

gone potty since yesterday, or eaten, drank about 8ounces of sprite,

she is spilling ketones, so i thought we would go get some fluids

through and i.v., have her ketones tested " professionally " and her

blood sugar level...well, i forgot the info on RSS so the doctor of

course had no idea what i was talking about and couldn't look it up

in the computers, said she was fine and gave NO fluids, did NO ketone

test, took NO blood, said she had a soar throat and sent us home.....

what now?? this is frustrating, her fever finally broke while we were

there and she drank a sip of orange juice so they can cath her and

get some urine, which they ran to see if she has an infection which

came back fine, but thats all they did, i told them its not normal

for a child to not go to the bathroom in 2 days and spilling ketones,

and they too ask who authorized me to take a ketone test> i didn't

know i needed to carry a slip of paper proving i can test my own

daughters urine because she has HEALTH ISSUES saying i need to do

so...she ate a chicken nugget and a few fries from mcdonalds on the

way home, so if she keeps it up then i won't worry about it but if

she continues at this rate and does the same tomarrow, i will take

her to medical city, which is where i should have gone today, but

didn't feel like that drive, it is 1.25 hours from where i am, and

chances are they will admit her so...i will post tomarrow about her

progress, thanks for listening (or reading LOL) thanks for any input
