Guest guest
, I get pain when if my hands get cold (like from my fans blowing on me, but gotta have the fans!). I also have times when they don't want to open up in the morning. For awhile it was bad enough that I was putting balled up socks in my hands at night, then for some reason it got better. Guest guest
asked: How do you know the difference between the disease symptoms and the side effects of the medicine?? Hey, ! I was beginning to worry about you; hadn't heard from you for awhile. You've probably been going through the mounds of info we've given you, right?!? As far as your question, it's not always easy as side effects can be similar. Sometimes you have to stop a drug (under medical supervision; may need to taper slowly), see if the symptoms clear up or get worse. If they get worse, it's probably the disease. If they clear up, but the drug could really beneficial, they may even have you start it again, to be sure. If the same symptoms return, you've probably got your answer. I know I seem to be hedging here with all the "probably-s" but things are seldom black or white in the sarc world. Ramblin' RoseModerator COLTS STILL ROCK! (But Packers rule the world. Sigh. . . .) Guest guest
, You might want to see a Rheumotologist, that's someone who specializes in arthritis, a sports Doctor specializes in sports injuries. Yes it is hard sometimes to figure out what is disease and what is side effects. I can't think right now, what is what, but if you describe what your feeling, maybe I can help you more. MarlaJust one day at a time, That's all God ask of us. for there never really is a tomorrow, as that too is just today:)   What is a gallim scan??  My hands ache and get stiff tooo, but I just thought it was the cold weather. I have a lot of muscle pain and I am blowed up like the michilan man but think that is from the predisone along with the 50lb weight gain.  How do you know the difference between the disease symptoms and the side effects of the medicine??  To: Neurosarcoidosis Sent: Thu, February 10, 2011 5:12:21 AMSubject: Hand and finger pain  I was just wondering - do any of you also have pain in your fingers and hands? Guest guest
It's sometimes tricky finding the right doc for the right issue. Sometimes specialties overlap, or a doctor may have a particular expertise, like yours. That can be so frustrating & exhausting, going from doctor to doctor, looking for the right one. Then you get a reputation for "doctor-hopping," which only increases the possible labels of hypochondria or drug-seeking. Ramblin' RoseModerator "I child-proofed my home and they STILL get in!"
