Guest guest
My dh has done this several times too... I stopped letting him do it at all. I've shown him how about 100 X, but he never seems to get them on right. I think he's doing it on purpose! number23 wrote: Once again my dh put Everett's shoes on last night and left the white rubber part bent over. This is like three times now, RRrgggh!!! Everett has a massive red puffy mark on his foot from it. I usually double check but didn't, figures. Had it gone longer I'm sure it could have started a nasty pressure point. Anyway, just saying you all watch out about that thing folding under when you put your shoes on! ee Mother of 3 Clubfooted Sons: - Bilateral Club Feet April 1998 Everett - Bilateral Club Feet September 2003 Garrison - Bilateral Club Feet March 2006 Visit us on the Web! www.WildlifeRevivalTaxidermy.com
Guest guest
My husband has never put on 's shoes. If I am hit by a bus tomorrow, we are in bad shape in the shoe department! Guest guest
one thing I like about the shoes made for Darbi (raised heel counter for matured foot) is that the rubber nearly comes together over the top of her foot so it's nearly impossible to do this. In the past, I've done this same thing at least twice, if not 3 times. The sore spot stayed on her foot for months after the last time. I agree... WATCH OUT FOR THIS!!! (one way I've found to reduce the possibility is how I put them on. Often, I don't even loosen the toe strap when I take them off so when I put them back on I can slide her foot into the shoe from the top with it still buckled. Maybe not as easy to do with little fat feet but it may be worth a try for some of you) Kori At 06:53 AM 7/20/2006, you wrote: >Once again my dh put Everett's shoes on last night and left the >white rubber part bent over. Guest guest
I did it once when I'd only had my first pair about a week. I felt so bad about hurting his foot I'm like a Shoe Cop about it now, that's why I generally (casually) double check my husband's work. When I took it off today and saw that I told Everett to go show that to daddy! BTW, got Garrison's new shoes yesterday - he went from a sz 0 to sz 2, think he was due for a new pair? lol. ee Mother of 3 Clubfooted Sons: - Bilateral Club Feet April 1998 Everett - Bilateral Club Feet September 2003 Garrison - Bilateral Club Feet March 2006 Visit us on the Web! www.WildlifeRevivalTaxidermy.com Re: watch out... one thing I like about the shoes made for Darbi (raised heel counter for matured foot) is that the rubber nearly comes together over the top of her foot so it's nearly impossible to do this. Guest guest
Wow! is still in her size zeros (at age nine months), although her toes are hanging over. She has the tiniest little feet. How do you determine when to get the boys new shoes? 's don't seem too narrow or uncomfortable for her, just not too swell looking with her toes hanging over. I have been wondering if I should get her new ones but don't want to mess up a good thing with our current shoes if she doesn't really need new ones. I am " shoe cop " , too, BTW, since I folded over the rubber once. I did catch it several hours later but it left a red mark. had been fussing and shaking her feet like she was trying to get the shoes off, whicih clued me in that something was wrong. Guest guest
Oh my gosh...me too. Somehow her braces fall off when he puts them on--and never has for me. Hmmmm. On the other hand, he always puts something red or black in with the whites and he doesn't have to do the laundry anymore either... Guest guest
his shoes were both too short and too narrow. Toes hanging off isn't always a bad thing if they fit everywhere else OK. As for " knowing " when to replace them well, you just sort of know. ee Mother of 3 Clubfooted Sons: - Bilateral Club Feet April 1998 Everett - Bilateral Club Feet September 2003 Garrison - Bilateral Club Feet March 2006 Visit us on the Web! www.WildlifeRevivalTaxidermy.com Re: watch out... > > > one thing I like about the shoes made for Darbi (raised heel > counter for matured foot) is that the rubber nearly comes together > over the top of her foot so it's nearly impossible to do this. > > In the past, I've done this same thing at least twice, if not 3 > times.
