Re: Riley hospital-Beth cast lady

We have been going to Riley hospital for the last year and half.

However, this past October-3 of the Ortho doctors(2 that mainly

handled the cf babies)-left the hospital(rumor has it contract

disputes) and started their own practice at St s. These three

doctors were part of a week long seminar that Dr Ponseti ran at

Riley and one has gone to the yearly Ponseti conference in Iowa.

With this shift/change, they had to add some new orthos and I

believe one of them is Dr Loder. We had the option to stay at Riley

but chose to continue with our current doctor. Our current doctor

worked closely with the orthotist(Dan whom I love) and set our son's

brace up each time wonderfully. Dan is still there and always

willing to learn more information(there is another orthotist there

whom I do not like-no personality, doesnt talk to the child, etc) so

we always request Dan. His biggest hangup is that they can not buy

Markells themselves-they have to buy them through a distributor,

thus paying a markup, and charging an additional markup. I hope this

information helps! We will tell our doc about the upcoming

conference in chicago and hopefully they are planning on attending

it!
