Thanks for the followup . After several phone calls, much

frustration and a few tears, I finally got through to a dr in The

Netherlands who is performing the Ponseti Method fully. On the off

chance that someone else needs this

information, the names are Dr. Schuppers and Dr. Buccholz out of

Streekziekennuis Midden Twente in Hengelo (). Dr

Schuppers says that they follow Ponseti's method fully including the

Denis Browne Bar brace. He introduced the Ponseti Method to The

Netherlands five years ago and his success rate is higher than 90%.

It is a distance for us to travel especially since I will be having

my baby by c-section in April but I feel so good to finally have

found drs that will use the method I want rather than almost certain

surgery anywhere else in the country. There is some growing interest

in the Ponseti Method in Holland but I spoke with someone at another

hospital and they only do the casting according to Ponseti not the

bracing. Hopefully the drs I'm choosing will live up to my

expectations but I feel like they will work out well.

I'm so happy for you that you've located some doctors who appear to

meet the criteria! Just keep the Global HELP booklet handy as your

reference! I hope you'll be able to keep us posted on your little

one's arrival and progress with treatment.

If you have the time, it would be great if you'd put the information

on these doctors that you've found in this group's database for

physician referrals! It's a good source of help for new families! I

hope you can relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I will definitely add the

information to the database but I want to make sure that they are as

good as I'm hoping. A huge weight is lifted off of me for the time

being at least!
