Funny smell on stool & mouth? what is it?

Hi list,

My son Gianni (20m) has been on the diet from 8/01. We have seen

good improvements from it. We took him off the diet 2 weeks ago to

verify if it was worth it. It was!...well we returned to the diet

last friday, this week he has a severe case of ear and throath

infection. He's on antibiotics. Today I noticed a funny smell

comming from his mouth ( kinda like acid). Mom tells me that she

also noticed it from his mouth and stool also. Also his bowel

movements aren't regular (they used to be) We don't remember if we

have noticed this smell prior to this week...I think not.

Anybody has an idea of what it could be?
