Guest guest
Hi all My surgery date has been changed to Dec 20th, yea, I know it is only a 2 day change but I was devastated and cried. My DDDH consoled me and told me that we could take care of everything and did. Dr K is out of town and his flight home was changed and he couldnt get back till 3am on the 18th (my original date). That would mean no sleep or rest and jetlag.. so in light of those facts, I conceded and " let " them change my date. I am not that brave - he might start snoring in the middle- in my middle- that would not be a good thing! I know that God is in control and all be perfect, according to His will. After all He gave me this wonderful miracle that is going to make me normal! ROTFLMAO- at the normal part - NOT at God! The people at the Shilo were very accomidating. They were so nice when I set up my reservations and even nicer when I had to change them ... and I do have a bariatric chair in my room , so all will be well... I was hoping to have my staples and drains removed before Christmas, now I will be glad just to be out of the hospital before Christmas. Our son in Bakersfield will be having Christmas for us at his house and I AM going to be there. With staples and drains and bells on! My friend ~amy~ was going to come visit me in the hospital (she has her check up appt with Dr K on the 19th) now she will be visiting me on my preop and poopjuice extravaganza! Now all I have to do is line up my support group again and all will be fine. I just want to thank all of you for your support and prayers and cat swinging, you all have given me courage to go on this wonderful journey ... To all a very Merry Christmas and the happiest of New Years. and God bless us every one! Sharon in Onyx Dr K now on Dec 20th (alyssas switch twin....misery loves company 335 sooooon to be 157 - because I like the way it sounds
Guest guest
Sharon, Yeah, I think it's a good thing that your surgery date was changed if Dr K is only flying in on the 18th at 3am and your surgery was on the 18th! You don't want to ask how long your common channel was and have him look at your blearily and say, 'what common channel ?' *grins* We'll be sending those positive vibes on the 20th though! *hugs* Anita 11/08/01 Dr Keshishian > Hi all > My surgery date has been changed to Dec 20th, yea, I know it is only > a 2 day change but I was devastated and cried. Guest guest
Hi Sharon: I'm sorry your date had to change, but it will be worth it. Your switch will really be a great Christmas present, and at least you'll be spending Christmas with family. Take care, and good luck!
