Guest guest
>>but I am not sure what to > ask. If they follow the DAN protocol? What else? 1. What their specialty is (most DAN doctors only have to attend on DAN conference and have a variety of backgrounds) 2. How many autistic children they treat (many don't know much about it at all, see reason #1). 3. Ask for references of parents of autistic children that have been treated by this doctor...and contact them. They will be more honest. 4. Ask what they do and do not like about the DAN protocol. You want to find out if they will follow it to the letter, and/or how much time they will take to treat YOUR child as an individual. 5. Ask how much time they spend keeping up with the current literature and research. 6. Ask how they feel about medications and " alternative " therapies such as your chosen diet and supplements. .
