Guest guest
I'm like you, I never even heard of the DS surgery until I asked a " Dark Question " on the message board where Carnie is known to reside. Some great " lurker " from this message board clued me in, and viola...I'm looking into DS surgery big time. Maybe what we need is to encourage a celeb. to have DS surgery, and then she/he can write a book about it! Let's see, whom shall I nominate? What's that red haired country western singer...she strikes me as a good spokes person! E
Guest guest
How about Cathryn Mannheim? Though, I have to admit, I find her damn attractive as she is. Was that Naomi Judd you were talking about? Woof! Ford, who has a taste for larger women Re: why RNY? Guest guest
Could just me only a rumor, but I heard from a nurse friend who was at a convention for WLS. That Carne was not happy with her RNY. Although if this is true she probably would not tell the truth. My friend said that she was interested in talking to her about the DS. I think if Carne had know about the DS should would have chosen that???? Still pre-op for only 42 more days!!!!!!! --- evershade1@... wrote: > I'm like you, I never even heard of the DS surgery > until I asked > a " Dark Question " on the message board where Carnie > is known > to reside. Guest guest
Hi : I heard the same thing too...and that Carnie had told this nurse that if she started to gain the weight back, she would be looking at the DS. Of course, I doubt that her current doctor (Wittgrove?) would allow that to happen, as I'm sure he's made quite a killing with all the business sent his way because of her publicity! Guest guest
My Doc in Spain actually took some training in the lap surgery from Whitgrove. Whitgrove used to do DS, but being afraid of lack of compliance of patients taking vitamins, getting in protein, and following up labs he ceased doing it. They did 400 BPDs (sans DS) before abandoning it in favor of their Lap RNY. Guest guest
You're right--Thanks . Maybe you can explain this better than I can to others--how do they do a BPD without the DS? I can't figure it out! Pammi > > My Doc in Spain actually took some training in the lap surgery from > > Whitgrove.
