Guest guest
Hi ! I just got off the phone with the state office for Children's Special Health Care Needs, and I am so relieved! The yearly gross income limit to qualify is $56,525 per year. This covers everything that the diagnosing doctor states will be needed for the child's care within that particular diagnosis. I went over each need in detail, and the Endo visits, GHT, GI visits, PT, OT, orthotics, and any testing needed, will all be 100% state funded! Even hospital stays, and emergencies will be paid for, as long as their office is notified within 5 days of treatment, and they will need to approve it. Anything not caused by the diagnosis will not be covered at all. One other thing they said was, to get GHT, the statement of diagnosis from the Dr., needed to use the exact words Growth Hormone Deficiency within his letter. They go by a list of disorders, and RSS isn't one of them, but because GHD is there, they would put Dasia in that category. Hope this helps!
