Guest guest
Hey Jodi, That's been done and is also on the website. Most of the families in my state are way south and it would be a 5-8 hour drive and also I'm not sure any are on the list serve either. I've really been working doctor's offices and organizations for children with disabilites. I have 30 committed so far and that's just family and friends, one organization (Easter Seals) that is going to sponsor his employees to walk not sure how many yet ( and hopefully join our walkathons together next year) and another organization (families helping families) that is putting fliers in their newsletters that they mail out. Also, my son's Karate school is hopefully going to be involved. I also have the Kawana's club providing lunch and volunteers. I've also been hitting waitresses at restaurants. ( especially the ones that can't get over how small is. They're pretty easy!) I'm hoping for 100 also, but can't go over 130 because of the location I have to use. October is a VERY busy month for walk-a-thons here in Shreveport and most locations had already been picked over by the beginning of the year. It's also hard to get businesses to donate money because of the hurrican relief efforts here. I hope the foundation gets the $75,000 we're hoping for. That would be so cool!
