Hi Kathy,

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!That is wonderful. I

understand your worrying about regaining. I am still

pre-op and I to wonder about how much I will lose and

can I keep it off. You probably are like me and tried

diet after diet. I think it will be hard to get out

of the diet mode. But enjoy yourself and the new you.

Kathy,

At your height and starting weight, you were destined to lose your

excess relatively fast...probably well within the first twelve

months. Isn't it strange when our minds disconnect what our body and

eyes are telling us? The scale says 135!! 135!! Whaddya mean

" flabby " ? ehhe

On the other hand, you DO have to worry about the weight being lost

so fast, but it has nothing to do with it coming back. The weight

isn't likely to come back unless you have a near-total revision of

the surgery. However, you are five months into a 12-month weightloss

window and you've already lost close to 80% of your excess weight.

If you continue losing at anything even near that rate, it could lead

to some serious health problems. I would recommend talking to your

surgeon to see what can be done to slow the rate of loss. I've heard

of cases like this before. Sometimes, the method of slowing the

weight loss is just to eat more sugar...wouldn't you be lucky then!

Take care,

Congratulations Kathy!

That's wonderful! Hopefully I'll get there somewhere down the road.
