Brainchild Nutritionals is a company which produces excellent supplements for

children with autism. I am writing to this list because I suspect there may

be a number of readers on this list who use Brainchild's products, or may want

to support them. Brainchild has encountered some serious production problems

and has developed a plan to continue to provide their valuable products. Here

is a letter with all the information and how people can help, that

Lang, the president of Brainchild Nutritionals, has asked me to pass on. If

Dear Parents and Spectrum Support Customers:

As many of you may have heard by now, the manufacturer that BrainChild

Nutritionals has used to produce our supplements since its inception has gone

out of business without notice. We had placed orders for resupply nearly four

months ago that were never filled despite their assurances. Several thousand

dollars that I paid to them for raw nutrient materials and finished products

has also been lost in their impending collapse.

Bottom line on all this for our customers is that we are completely out of

stock on everything but SSIII Vitamins and they are going fast. I want to

assure you that BCN is not only going to survive this, but come back stronger

and with enhanced sense of purpose to better serve your children. I originally

designed and now also make these for my own kids, so I have far more than just

a financial interest at stake in turning this around.

There are several options available to produce our supplements within the next

30-60 days. First, we are excited about the possibilities of manufacturing our

own supplements in our own facility. This would free us from the restrictions

of someone else’s scheduling, reduce our production costs, and allow us greater

freedom in developing the 30 new ASD support supplements that we have already

formulated and are very eager to make available to you. Getting the first

batches of supplements out of a new venture like this could take at least 60

days, so in a parallel operation to opening a new facility, I will be acquiring

the raw materials, production equipment, and expedite the production of

supplements in a rented laboratory. We hope to have a four to six month supply

of all products available again in approximately two to four weeks via this

route.

We need to raise about $25,000 to finance this new direction for our company.

We have considered local venture capital sources, but I’m concerned about the

real possibility of losing control of the company to investors whose primary

concern is money, not children with ASD. So, in keeping with my vision of a

wholly parent-driven company, we have developed a three-tiered, mutually

beneficial plan for our parent customers who might be able to make a lump-sum

advance payment. This option will save you a great deal of money over the next

year, as well as help our company and your children, all at the same time.

The program of $500, $1000, and $2000 advance purchase plans is set up to give

you from six months up to two years of prepaid products with significant

savings of $150-$640 for your valuable assistance. The upper tier plans also

provide the additional benefits of “beta” or pre-release testing of new

products and a custom formulation run of supplements for your child. An
