Guest guest
Jodie, I thought of this for Ian. ....I bought him a special " school book " (it's a tracing book to help children with writing later on) and I plan on taking him with his book and new pencil to the library. Just a thought. Guest guest
Hi Jodie has a good suggestion here. Another thing you could do is take thon " first day of school " shopping as well (yes, I know he went with the boys, but bare with me).........just you and him, and buy a video? or a game? or a neat food to make? or plan a little party (get some hats).........something that you and he are going to do RIGHT when you get home from dropping the boys off at school. He will be so excited about what you two are going to do at home that morning, that he will probably be pushing the boys out the door!! LOL One thing, if you do go shopping, don't do it until the day or two before! He will never stop hounding you for whatever it is that you buy! Good luck Debby Re: back to school problem > Jodie, I thought of this for Ian. ....I bought him a > special " school book " (it's a tracing book to help children with > writing later on) and I plan on taking him with his book and new > pencil to the library. Guest guest
Jodie I know all too well the scenario. We went shoe shopping and Kelli was watching quietly until the shoes were on 's feet and she was trying to get her's off so that she can try a pair on too. Thank goodness Stride Rite's sale ended that day buy one get second pair 1/2 off. Unfortunately the first pair the lady put on Kelli didn't fit so that was an argument to get them off before the new pair came out. By the way it's starting to happen, Kelli and 's feet measured the same size!!!! Plus I'm going to have Kelli with me when I drop off in the morning. At night we practice a letter or two a night with and last night Kelli kept saying " my turn, I want a pencil, I want a turn. " I'll have to set her up tonight with her little chalk board or something. B 5 1/2 and Kelli 3 --- Jodie wrote: > well we are going to have a really big problem the > first day of school > this year-now dont laugh too hard, butnicholas and > christopher will > both be going during the Am (nicholas to 2nd grade > and christopher to > morning preschool from 8:30-11:30am) well johnathon > doesnt start > nursery school until nov (has to wait until he is 2 > 1/2) well my mom > took them all back to school shopping for me and got > the 2 boys clothes > for school. she also got each of them a back pack > and nicholas and > christopher needed lunch boxes (christopher will get > lunch time before > coming home) well she had to buy johnathon a lunch > box too!! and he > keeps walking around the house pulling his backpack > around with him > saying i want to go to school!!!! he even fell > asleep yesterday > holding on to it!! so the first day of school when > nicholas and > christopher go is going to be very traumatizing for > johnathon!!!! i > can just picture it now!! > > jodie c > > > __________________________________________________
Guest guest
the " problem " with johnathon is he is the same size as christopher and very mature for his age (he basically thinks he's 4!!) we already do homework with him when the boys do theirs. christopher melted down on nicholas first day of kidergarten because he wanted to go to the only good thing was he actually started preschool that same day a few hours later!! johnathon gets to go to the open house for nursery school but then he cant return until nov. because thats when he will be 2 1/2yrs. its going to be a long 2 months!!! jodie c
